Serving as a Content Producer for Men in Blazers has placed me in a pivotal role in shaping the narrative direction and content structure of our broadcasts. My role encompasses ideating, planning, and collaborating to curate content that's in sync with our audience's pulse. From conceptualizing story angles to ensuring seamless integration of visual and auditory elements, my contributions aim to create content that's both insightful and engaging.

Rolling Loud 2023

Objective/Purpose:

In an era where the world has become a global village, Rolling Loud 2023 strove to redefine the live music experience by embracing technology and streaming the event on Twitch to a worldwide audience. The essence of the project was not only to entertain millions of music lovers but also to make them feel a part of the pulsating energy of the festival, regardless of their geographical location.

Involvement:

As the senior editor and producer for the festival's social media content, I found myself at the heart of this mission. My role extended beyond just administrative tasks, reaching into the realms of creative interpretation and real-time decision-making. From directing live segments and interviews to producing real-time recaps, my work added a new dimension to the digital concert experience.

Process:

I led a talented team of videographers, navigating through the rhythm and rush of the festival, strategically selecting the artists and elements to capture. With a carefully curated shot list, we documented the soul of the festival, each scene an authentic testament to its energy. I managed the editing process alongside a junior editor, translating raw footage into captivating content under the relentless ticking of a tight deadline.

Description:

Rolling Loud 2023 was more than just a concert - it was a pulsating entity of music, crowd energy, and real-time content creation. My role as the senior editor and producer for social media content placed me at the epicenter of this live, shared experience. I wove narratives out of raw footage, threading together artist segments, interviews, and recaps into a digital tapestry that offered viewers an intimate, immersive festival experience. Each deliverable was a testament to a new era of music enjoyment, where physical borders blur and the world tunes in to the same beat. Through it all, I demonstrated the ability to deliver high-quality content under pressure, revealing the power of live music to connect people across continents.


 

GILGA Application Video

Objective/Purpose:

The project was created as part of an application for a Concept Head position at Donald Glover's company, GILGA. The goal was to craft a unique, subversive, and impactful video that would stand out in the application process.

Involvement:

As the main driving force behind this project, I was responsible for the conceptualization and execution of the entire video. My responsibilities included writing the script, handling production logistics, and directing the video.

Process:

The project process was heavily grounded in producing a quality video that communicated my creativity, capability, and individuality. This began with scriptwriting, where I focused on delivering content that was more vulnerable and personal than the initially intended humorous take. In the production phase, I managed resources to ensure smooth filming and post-production processes. Lastly, as the director, I guided the overall tone, pacing, and visual style of the video, ensuring that it remained subversive and unique.

Description:

GILGA was an application project for Donald Glover's new company that required a creative submission. I opted for a video format, subverting typical stylistic choices to create a more unconventional representation of my abilities and vision. While the initial plan was to use humor, I decided to pivot towards vulnerability in content, providing a more intimate look at my creativity. This choice not only communicated my suitability for the Concept Head position but also demonstrated my ability to adapt and experiment with different narrative styles.

 

 

Microsoft Teams Campaign

Objective/Purpose:

The objective of the project was to promote Microsoft Teams during the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting its significance as a communication and collaboration tool during the quarantine period.

Involvement:

In this project, I was the Senior Producer and Director. As such, I was responsible for the overall vision and execution of the campaign, from pre-production planning through to the final output.

Process:

The execution of this project was a challenge due to the restrictions brought on by the pandemic. There were numerous obstacles such as difficulties in finding suitable filming locations due to quarantine. Despite these hurdles, we persevered and adapted our methods to work within the constraints. The process required a lot of flexibility, creative problem-solving, and resilience to successfully produce the campaign.

Description:

The Microsoft Teams campaign was a testament to the power of technology in enabling creativity during challenging times. Amidst the backdrop of the global pandemic, we created a video showcasing how Microsoft Teams facilitated the Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) in creating a new score for Microsoft's Reimagine event. The campaign highlighted how Microsoft Teams can bridge gaps, foster collaboration, and drive innovation, even in the most difficult circumstances. This project was not only about promoting a product but also about demonstrating resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity.

 

 

Microsoft LATAM Podcast

Objective/Purpose:

The purpose of this project was to break into the untapped podcast space for Microsoft in the Spanish-speaking market, or LATAM. The aim was to provide valuable tech content, Microsoft updates, and global technology use stories to a demographic that had previously been underserved.

Involvement:

As the Senior Producer and Director, I played a significant role in shaping this project. I was responsible for the strategic planning, production, and direction of the podcast, overseeing every aspect to ensure the show's quality and relevance. This meant managing everything from content creation to coordinating recording sessions and guiding the podcast's overall vision and direction.

Process:

This project was my first foray into podcast production, which necessitated a deep understanding of the podcasting landscape. I embarked on a process of learning and discovery, studying successful podcasts, analyzing their workflows, and identifying effective strategies. I also had to design a production process from scratch, tailoring it to Microsoft's specific needs and the expectations of the LATAM market.

The Microsoft LATAM Podcast is a pioneering endeavor from Microsoft, offering a unique blend of tech stories, Microsoft updates, and insights into global technology usage. Microsoft LATAM TikTok Campaign

Objective/Purpose:

Similar to the podcast project, this campaign aimed to extend Microsoft's presence into the TikTok platform, primarily to promote the new Surface laptop. This approach aimed to engage with the younger demographic prevalent on the platform.

Involvement:

As the Senior Producer and Director of this project, my responsibilities encompassed the overall management and execution of the campaign. This included directing the video according to the script, overseeing the production, and ensuring that the video adhered to TikTok's specific content style and format.

Process:

The project required a streamlined, efficient approach due to the tight deadline. My task was to take the script and translate it into a succinct, engaging TikTok video. Given the platform's unique content style, it was crucial to create a video that was not only promotional but also relatable and engaging for TikTok's user base.

Description:

The Microsoft LATAM TikTok campaign was an exciting foray into new social media territory, with a focus on promoting the new Surface laptop. Despite the challenge of a 24-hour turnaround, the project was successful in delivering a short, impactful TikTok video. This campaign demonstrated the versatility and adaptability required in digital content creation, especially when dealing with diverse platforms and tight deadlines. It was an excellent opportunity to explore a different style of content and interact with a new audience segment.

 

 

Microsoft Minsur AI Campaign

Objective/Purpose:

The objective of this project was to highlight Microsoft's Artificial Intelligence capabilities in its B2B sector. The focus was to demonstrate how AI can have practical, real-world applications, particularly in industries such as mining.

Involvement:

As the Creative Producer for this project, I was involved in multiple facets of its development and execution. I was responsible for creating the script and also directed the project on location. I engaged directly with talent, ensuring that the script was effectively translated into the final output.

Process:

The project involved a highly collaborative and hands-on approach. My role required me to not only work on the creative scripting but also to be present on location. This on-set presence was crucial to provide real-time direction and ensuring the project's successful execution.

Description:

The Microsoft Minsur AI campaign was an early and pivotal endeavor to showcase the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in Microsoft's B2B offerings. Filmed on the peaks of Peru, it provided a unique and authentic backdrop to highlight the daily operations of Minsur, a mining company. The campaign successfully married cutting-edge AI technology with its real-world application, demonstrating how Microsoft's AI can enhance efficiency and productivity in industries like mining. As the creative force behind this project, I aimed to encapsulate this synergy, resulting in a compelling narrative that effectively communicated Microsoft's vision for AI.

Objective/Purpose:

The primary objective of these videos was to highlight contemporary social issues and news. The aim was to present these topics in an honest, digestible, and efficient manner, thus making them accessible and understandable to a wide audience.

Involvement:

As the Producer, Editor, and Scriptwriter for these videos, I played a central role in their creation. I was responsible for the selection of topics, scripting, producing, and editing the content, which required a keen eye for current events and an understanding of how to effectively communicate complex issues.

Process:

The process involved in creating these videos started with identifying and researching critical news or social issues that needed to be highlighted. After selecting the topic, I developed a script and then produced and edited the video content to ensure it was succinct, engaging, and easy to consume.

BRUT. is a series of videos that meld my passion for social issues and media to create quick, efficient content for consumption. These videos provide an unflinching look at contemporary news and social issues, presented in a straightforward and easily digestible format. By distilling complex topics into brief, engaging content, these videos aim to educate, inform, and inspire viewers. They represent my commitment to creating content that not only captures the zeitgeist but also sparks conversations and encourages critical thinking.

 

 

Adult Swim Bumper

Objective/Purpose:

The goal of this project was to create a unique, quirky video in the style of the iconic Adult Swim bumpers. The focus was on creating something fun and offbeat, fitting within the irreverent aesthetic of Adult Swim.

Involvement:

As the Director and Creator of this video, I was involved in every step of its creation. This included conceptualizing the idea, filming, editing, adding graphic animation elements, and even creating the Adult Swim logo with my wet shower hair.

Process:

The process for this project was as unconventional as its concept. It started with setting up a camera in the bathroom, cooking a pizza, and then filming the act of eating it in the shower. The editing process involved adding graphic animation elements to further emulate the distinctive Adult Swim style. Lastly, to create the bumper at the end, I fashioned the Adult Swim logo from my wet shower hair on the wall.

Description:

This Adult Swim bumper recreation is a testament to creativity and humor. The concept was inspired by the everyday quirkiness encapsulated in Adult Swim's brand: enjoying a pizza in the shower. While simple, the video embraces the unexpected and humorous, characteristic of Adult Swim bumpers. From filming to using my wet shower hair to create the Adult Swim logo, this project was a fun, creative endeavor that mirrors the weird, cool ethos of the Adult Swim brand.

 

 

8 by 8 Magazine Juventus Campaign

Objective/Purpose:

The main objective of this project was to create video content promoting Juventus' friendly/exhibition soccer games in America. The campaign was designed to generate excitement and awareness for the event.

Involvement:

As the Creative Video Consultant and Producer, I was deeply involved in shaping this project. Although I was working remotely, I provided the Director of Photography with shot requirements and maintained constant communication with the on-ground team. I also oversaw the review of daily footage, providing input and adjustments as needed.

Process:

This project posed the unique challenge of remote direction and production. The process involved careful planning and clear communication with the on-ground team. I would relay the desired shots to the Director of Photography, review the daily footage, and provide feedback and alterations as necessary. This required a high level of attention to detail and adaptability.

Description:

The 8 by 8 Magazine Juventus Campaign was a creative collaboration to create compelling video content promoting Juventus' friendly games in America. Despite directing and producing remotely, the project was a success due to efficient communication and a shared commitment to quality. By merging the skills of talented illustrators, writers, and artists, we were able to create visually striking content across digital platforms, highlighting the excitement of Juventus' games while amplifying the unique storytelling power of 8 by 8 Magazine.

 

 

Complex - New Era x Fear of God Collaboration & Nike Sneaker Resume Feature

Involvement:

As a Creative Media Consultant and Co-Producer, I played a crucial role in both the New Era x Fear of God collaboration and the featuring of the Nike Sneaker Resume Project.

New Era x Fear of God Collaboration:

Objective/Purpose:

The primary aim of this project was to promote the collaboration between New Era and Fear of God during MLB All-Star weekend. The campaign sought to highlight this unique partnership and the special merchandise created for the event.

Process:

As the Creative Media Consultant and Co-Producer, I was involved in strategizing and overseeing the production of the promotional content for this collaboration. My role required me to manage various facets of the project, ensuring a seamless alignment with the brand's vision and the event's significance.

Nike Sneaker Resume Project Feature:

Objective/Purpose:

The Nike Sneaker Resume Project, featured on Complex's vlog on International Women's Day, aimed to highlight the project and its innovative approach to personal branding.

Process:

My involvement as Creative Media Consultant and Co-Producer required me to liaise with Complex to get the Nike Sneaker Resume Project featured. This involved presenting the project, its relevance to the occasion, and how it aligned with Complex's content approach.

Description:

Working on these projects with Complex was an exciting journey. The New Era x Fear of God collaboration for MLB All-Star weekend showcased a unique blend of fashion and sports culture. Concurrently, seeing the Nike Sneaker Resume Project featured on Complex's vlog on International Women's Day was an incredibly rewarding experience. It affirmed the project's creativity and its impact in resonating with audiences and platforms alike. Both projects underscore my commitment to creative storytelling and innovative content production. 

 

 

Fusion: Barbershop Books

Involvement:

As the Editor for this project, I was in charge of editing the content to ensure that it effectively communicated the inspiring story behind the reading program at The Fuller Cut.

Objective/Purpose:

The primary objective of this project was to document and share the inspiring initiative of two barbers in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Their innovative reading program encouraged kids to read aloud while getting their hair cut, offering them a two-dollar discount as an incentive. The story needed to highlight the focus on books that "reflect the readers," often portraying inspiring, positive narratives of Black community members.

Process:

My task as the Editor involved meticulously editing the video to ensure the narrative flowed smoothly and resonated with the audience. I had to ensure that the inspirational essence of the story was not lost in the editing process and that the final content accurately and effectively portrayed the barbers' innovative initiative.

Description:

The Fusion: Barbershop Books project was a heartwarming story about a community-focused initiative in a small town. The video captured the inspiring reading program at The Fuller Cut barbershop, where kids were encouraged to read aloud while getting their hair cut. What made this project special was the focus on books that "reflect the readers," providing a diverse range of narratives that resonate with children from various backgrounds. Tattoo Artist Karry Ka-Ying Poon Profile

As the Producer and Director for this project, I had the opportunity to showcase the work of my personal favorite tattoo artist, Karry Ka-Ying Poon.

Objective/Purpose:

The main objective of this project was to create a profile video of Karry Ka-Ying Poon, highlighting her unique artistry in the world of tattooing. The video was intended to provide an intimate look into her creative process, skills, and the person behind the art.

Process:

In my role as the Producer and Director, I oversaw the entire production process, from conceptualizing the video's direction to editing the final piece. This hands-on involvement allowed me to ensure that the video accurately and creatively represented Karry Ka-Ying Poon's artistry and persona.

Description:

The Tattoo Artist Karry Ka-Ying Poon profile is a personal and intimate exploration of a highly skilled tattoo artist. Karry's unique style and approach to her art form are showcased throughout the video. As the Producer and Director, I directed, edited, and produced this piece, taking care to present Karry's work in a way that truly encapsulates her as an artist. The result is a compelling portrayal of talent, creativity, and individuality.

 

 

Nike Mag Social Media Bite

As the Editor for this project, I was responsible for creating a quick, engaging social media bite to promote the Nike Mag sneaker.

Objective/Purpose:

The goal of this project was to create an eye-catching, brief video for social media to promote the Nike Mag sneaker. The video aimed to encapsulate the innovative and futuristic ethos of the sneaker.

Process:

My task as the Editor involved carefully editing the video and incorporating graphic elements to create a compelling visual narrative. This required a keen understanding of the product and the brand, as well as a grasp of the social media landscape to ensure the content was impactful and effective.

The Nike Mag Social Media Bite is a quick, engaging video designed for the digital age. Using editing and graphics, I crafted a video that captures the essence of the Nike Mag sneaker - innovative, futuristic, and forward-thinking. The mantra "We don't have to go back, this is the future" encapsulates the spirit of the project, positioning the Nike Mag sneaker not just as footwear, but as a step into the future.

 

 

Marvel & ESPN Films Present: 1 of 1 - Genesis

Involvement:

As the Assistant Camera for this project, I played a crucial role in capturing the visuals that bring this unique concept to life.

Objective/Purpose:

The main aim of this film was to explore the idea that superstar athletes, much like real-life superheroes, possess not only superpowers but also personal tales that echo themes and narratives found in Marvel comics. It features famous athletes including Russell Wilson, Carmelo Anthony, and Danica Patrick.

Process:

Working as the Assistant Camera, my responsibilities revolved around supporting the Director of Photography. This role involved managing camera equipment, aiding in capturing the right shots and ensuring optimal camera settings for different shooting scenarios. It was crucial to accurately depict the crossover between the worlds of sports and superhero narratives.

Description:

The project, "Marvel & ESPN Films Present: 1 of 1 - Genesis," is a film that blurs the line between superstar athletes and superheroes. It presents the idea that these athletes, much like superheroes, possess not only unique physical abilities but also personal narratives reminiscent of the themes found in Marvel comics. Being the Assistant Camera on this project, I had the privilege of helping to visually depict this innovative concept, creating a unique fusion of sports and comic book culture.

 

 

letsRUMBL :30 Spot

Involvement:

As the Producer and Co-Writer for this project, I was responsible for overseeing the production and contributing to the script to create an engaging advertisement for the letsRUMBL app.

Objective/Purpose:

The primary objective of this spot was to introduce the letsRUMBL fantasy app to potential users and highlight its unique features. The spot emphasized the simplicity and fun of the app, positioning it as a game-changer in the fantasy sports realm that eliminates the complexities of traditional platforms.

Process:

As the Producer, my task was to manage the production process, ensuring that the spot accurately represented the letsRUMBL brand and its unique selling points. Additionally, as a Co-Writer, I contributed to crafting the script, ensuring it was engaging and effectively communicated the app's key features.

The letsRUMBL :30 spot is an exciting foray into the world of the letsRUMBL fantasy app. By shedding the usual complexities of fantasy sports, such as salary caps and intensive research, letsRUMBL positions itself as the fantasy app you WANT to play. The spot highlights this selling point, offering viewers a glimpse into a simplified, fun-filled fantasy sports experience. As the Producer and Co-Writer, I had a pivotal role in shaping this narrative, overseeing the production process, and contributing to the script to create a captivating advertisement.

 

 

ESPN's 30 for 30: The U

Involvement:

I served as a Production Assistant, Researcher, and Archival Logger on this project. It was one of my earliest works, and it has always held a special place in my heart.

Objective/Purpose:

The objective of this project was to create an episode for ESPN's "30 for 30" series focusing on "The U" - the University of Miami's prestigious football program. The aim was to provide a comprehensive and engaging overview of the program's history, impact, and importance.

Process:

As a Production Assistant, I supported the production team in various capacities, ensuring the smooth execution of the project. My role as a Researcher involved digging deep into the history of "The U" and gathering relevant information for the episode. Additionally, as an Archival Logger, I was responsible for categorizing and keeping track of all archival materials used in the episode.

Description:

ESPN's 30 for 30: The U is an in-depth look at the University of Miami's esteemed football program. The episode explores its rich history and the significant impact it has had on the sport. As one of my earliest projects, my roles included serving as a Production Assistant, Researcher, and Archival Logger. This experience offered me invaluable insights into the world of sports documentary filmmaking and has always remained a fond memory.

 

 

'Team Skating' Loiter Squad on Adult Swim

Involvement:

I contributed to this project as a Camera Operator and Assistant Camera. These roles involved managing the camera equipment and capturing footage that brought the skit to life.

Objective/Purpose:

The goal of this skit was to create a humorous and engaging segment for the "Loiter Squad" program on Adult Swim, adhering to the unique comedic style of the show.

Process:

In my role as the Camera Operator and Assistant Camera, I was tasked with executing the Director's vision by capturing the necessary shots. This involved setting up and adjusting the camera equipment, and ensuring the visual elements of the skit were effectively and creatively captured.

Description:

The 'Team Skating' skit on "Loiter Squad" for Adult Swim is a comedic segment that exemplifies the unique humor of the show. I worked as a Camera Operator and Assistant Camera for this project, managing the visual elements and ensuring the director's vision was successfully brought to life. My work on this project involved capturing the nuanced comedy and dynamic energy of the skit, contributing to the overall entertainment value of the "Loiter Squad" program.

 

 

Doritos Crash The Superbowl Commercial - The Social Dorito

Involvement:

I was the writer for this commercial, crafting the script that was used to bring the concept to life.

Objective/Purpose:

The purpose of this commercial was to participate in the Doritos Crash the Superbowl contest, which encourages creativity and originality in creating engaging commercials for the Doritos brand.

Process:

As the Writer, my task was to conceptualize a storyline that would effectively and engagingly promote Doritos. This involved understanding the brand's identity and consumer base, coming up with an innovative concept, and translating this concept into a script.

Description:

The Social Dorito is a commercial created for the Doritos Crash The Superbowl contest. Crafted during my college years in collaboration with my peers, the commercial represents our effort to create an engaging and original advertisement for the Doritos brand. As the writer, I was responsible for creating the script that formed the foundation of the commercial, crafting a storyline that aimed to be as fun and flavorful as Doritos themselves.
